Very serious beep-beep loving boy!

My wonderful, amazing friend was able to kiss my baby for me this week!! And sent me this note:

He is walking! He is super healthy! He is really big - in a sturdy, strong type of way :). He was babbling words in Amharic. They say he is very serious. He loves cars and he likes Solomon-the-driver because he drives the van! He says "beep-beep" for the word 'car'.

Look at my very serious beep-beep loving boy! Oh man, do I ever love him!!!

I NEED him HOME - like right NOW!!!

Praying that the visa is coming soon, you are right he needs to be home in his familys arms.

haha, he does look very serious!! I highly recommend taking a little friction-drive car or truck with you when you go to pick him up. My equally 'makina' obsessed boy held his in his hand and revved it on every flat surface in sight for 10 straight days. It was a security blanket with wheels. :)

Hope you get some visa news soon.

Oh how I ache for you. As wonderful as it is to get updates etc, it is so wrong that YOUR little boy is still not home with you. I so hate that you're still waiting. I don't know the details holding things up, but oh how I'd love to help in any way I can to get him back into your arms and home.
I'm praying for you guys.
hugs,
Ramona

Chad & Laura - I found your blog when I did a google search for the orphanage in Adama. I'm leaving in 12 days on a mission trip to Ethiopia, with 4 others from our church in Duluth, Georgia (USA). One of the places we'll likely be working is the orphanage in Adama. Our trip is specifically focused on orphan care - working with churches & families in Ethiopia that want to explore adoption & foster care, and seeing how we can help the orphanages in the area as well. I'm an adoptive mom myself (twice from Ukraine). Anyway, would love to talk to you (maybe via email). Thought you could possibly tell me a little about the orphanage - and wondered if I might even be able to check in on Seth for you while we're there!

Oh my gosh, must have felt soooo good to have an update. Funny but he has one of each of my boys qualities - Freddie is a very serious boy and Lincoln calls trains "beep beeps"! Hope you get to go get him soon....

So cool your friend was able to visit. I know those visits and updates from friends helped me get through our wait. Sending lots and lots of visa vibes.
