To blog or not to blog?

To blog or not to blog?

When to blog?

Do I have time to blog?

What to blog?

Is my life really that important to blog?

Is anyone still reading this blog?

Who will read this blog?

Can FB sufficiently replaced this blog?

Have I done all I can with this blog?

Do I want to blog?

What would I rename this blog?

These are the questions I am pondering...

I have the same questions rattling around in my head.

It probably depends on the purpose you had/have for your blog. It seems like many adoption blogs go belly-up once the kids are home, which I always find discouraging because so often I've rooted for that family, prayed for them, and felt like part of their lives - only to feel a little amputated when the child comes home and the blog stops.

I considered these questions last year after we got home with our kids, too, but for me the answer was that my blog wasn't only about adoption...it was about a few other things for me, too. The two most important things for me were: I needed some kind of outlet for my need to write something; and I wanted to chronicle bits of our lives to be able to look back on it and remember 'oh yeah I remember xyz...". I write because I love it waaay more than I write because other people might/might not read it or comment on it. I guess it's just meeting a need I have for now.

If it just feels like your blog is a burden maybe the time has come to shut it down; but if it's just the PURPOSE of the blog that's troubling you, that's easily changed with a new title and a few sub-headings.

At any rate, if you decide to keep it up, I'll keep reading!!

And I think it's about time we get together again, don't you??

Hugs,

Ruth

I hear ya!! I am going through the same dilemma....it seems in many ways FB has sort of taken over the role of updating people...and with my blog I feel like I should be saying vastly profound things like other bloggers do but alas I have nothing profound to say right now.

Maybe just take a summer hiatus and see how you feel in the fall?

Summer is always a time for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors and not spending time inside anywas ;)

I still read and would read a blog over FB anytime! I hope you will continue to blog in some form if the spirit still moves you at all. And if you do, I promise to do a much better job commenting. ;)
