Our retainer agreement arrived today - Yippee. For the first time in a few weeks I felt just a little moment of panic when I read "In the event that Imagine Adoption does not continue operations due to an insufficient amount of retainers received, the families will be notified and the retainer fee will be returned..." - Gulp - Could this actually happen? - No! I just can't go there, I won't go there - I believe that we have stood united throughout this entire process and that this retainer is simply our celebration of what we have accomplished and how far we have come in only four months. The retainer is a symbol of the end of this awful mess and the start of a new beginning for all of us.
We will be sending our retainer in ASAP, with no hesitations whatsoever.
"I will bring my baby home"...the one I dreamed of the other night!

Matthew sent ours in on his way home from work today...I feel a bit nervous about it as well. I can't wait for this part of things to be behind us.
Mine's going out first thing Monday. I think that same (now infamous) line caught us all off guard a little. We're so inclined to believe "Yes we can" that the thought of "not" is just too foreign. I firmly believe we will stand firm in this positive vote and from now onward we will remain united until all our children are HOME.
There's a poll on the yahoo board if you're in to sharing your "yes" over there...maybe you already knew :)

I am working today, but found a bank branch close to work that is open on Saturday that I can get to on my lunch,so excited to stand in line to get my money order this way I can have it in the mail first thing on Monday.
It was a scary line to read, but we will get there remember how scare we where before the vote and in the end it was a landslide YES !
So YES babies just hold on we are coming to get you.

It also said that if they are in before the end of November things may move even quicker (okay, by a week or two, but still). I'm just going to send it all so I don't have to get another money order in February. I'm with you. Baby is coming home! And you're right. It is a celebration of our success in dredging the agency back from the brink. Good way to think of it.
That line made me nervous too. It's such a roller coaster and we are so close to getting back on track. The end of Nov. can't come fast enough.
It is so great that you can now do this very concrete thing towards getting your baby home. Don't even think about that line. I am sure that most families are like you and got their retainers in as quickly as possible.
We will be sending our money off as well.
And end to the mess and the start of something wonderful. I can't wait to hear your good news!
