Not over yet

We are still in limbo. No decision was made today. However, the judge has decided to send our file for further review. The judge does not have to be doing this for us - so why is she? We can only hope that she sees what is happening to us and is trying her best to make this right, even if the decision is still no in the end.

We do not have another court date set. We hope to know more about our timeline next week.

Things still do not look to be in our favor, but we continue to hold on to our hope until they tell us it is over.

For now we wait some more...

Thank you for the overwhelming support we have been receiving. Maybe, just maybe all your prayers, thoughts, positive energy, and vibes are doing something...so please don't give up on us - we still need a miracle.

I will likely continue to be fairly quiet, I hope you can understand. But please know that even though I am silent, I am feeling your love.

Laura,
Though this news is not the outright miracle I was praying for, it is a small miracle, and for that, I am thankful. It is not a "no", and for that I am thankful. There is still hope, and for that, I am very thankful.

For the pain that your family is undoubtably going through, I am aching.

I will keep praying. If you get even a tentative court date, if you don't post here, could you please e-mail me the date so that I can be praying especially on that day? Hang in there as best you can.

Yup, I think we've ALL been stalking you and thinking about you constantly! I can't imagine what you have been going through and are continuing to go through.
You are in my prayers.
So... a small bit of hope.... i will keep praying for a miracle.
Any chance you can explain to us why IA would let you go to Addis if there was a risk of this happening? I just don't understand. it's pure torture! no one should have to go to court and meet their child and then be told you can't adopt him.
(((hug))))

I am so puzzled about what has happened for you. I look forward to the day that everything is sorted out and you can explain it all!

May luck be with you until that time arrives.

Laura,

This is the first site I checked when I got home from parent-teacher interviews tonight. I've been worrying and wondering all day. I have to say that I am relieved to hear this news. Hopefully they will look into things further and realize that they are making a mistake. Seth belongs with you and your family!

Thinking of you lots and lots,
Sarah.

Hand in there, kiddo - we had 7 court dates for our girls, and it was very possible (probable) at one point that we were going to lose them. I HAVE BEEN THERE. And really offer you a huge cyber HUG - "Nicky"

Laura - a little birdy named "A.N." told me that you might have been to Faya Orphanage and taken some pictures. If so, would you mind please emailing me at info@vulnerablechildren.ca ? I don't want to post any pics without your permission. She shared two but if you have more ? :-)

My best;
A
